Harlow Sub Aqua Club

Annual Meal February 2010 

DIVERS dressed up for the club's annual meal,which was held on Saturday 27th February at the Plume of Feathers at Gilston, just outside of Harlow.

At the meal Stuart Crump was announced as the second recipient of the Ian Juniper trophy in recognition of his voluntary work within the club.

Last year the award, a glass diver on a wooden plaque, went to Angela Shaw for being Membership Secretary and assisting with training new members.

Stuart took over from Andy Simpson as Equipment Officer and was praised for co-ordinating the refurbishment of the compressor hut and auditing, servicing and maintaining equipment.

He also played a big role in the formation of the club website along with Angela, Tracy Crump and Phill Brown and helped to train two trainees. A week before the meal he also became an an Assistant Diving Instructor.

Stuart said: "Thank you for this award. Angela and I have worked hard within the club but even between us it doesn't compare to what Ian did. It's great to have this award to remember him."
