BSAC courses Jan to March 2011 

Dear Divers
 
Just a quick email to let everyone know that all the scheduled ITS events, SDCs and regional workshops have been uploaded to the regional website.  Apologies for the delay in getting everything uploaded; this was due to circumstances beyond my control.  We have added a number of new events for 2011, and on some days have multiple events running, so if you do have any queries about which event to book, please do not hesitate to contact either myself or another member of the regional coaching team.
 
For instructor training events, there is a list of Eastern Region events scheduled by BSAC HQ at  http://eastern.bsac.org/ITSPOE.asp, together with a link to HQ's online booking system for each event.  For SDCs and other regional workshops, details can be found at http://eastern.bsac.org/SDCPOE.asp; this page incorporates an online booking facility, and BSAC HQ have now added an option to pay via Paypal for those that prefer this method.  Extra events may be added in response to demand/if scheduled events are over-subscribed.
 
Scheduled events for the first three months are:-
 
- 29/01/11 (St Albans): First Aid for Divers SDC(£47)
- 30/01/11 (St Albans): Oxygen Administration SDC (£47)
- 05/02/11 (St Albans): Equipment Care Workshop (£20)
- 12/02/11 (St Albans): Automated External Defibrillator (£48) - includes O2 Admin & first aid refreshers in the morning, followed by the AED course in the afternoon
- 26/02/11: (venue TBA): Theory Instructor Exam £36 (contact BSAC HQ for further info/to book)
- 05/03/11: (Cambs): Advanced Diver (theory): £30
- 13/03/11:  (Cambs): Practical Rescue Management: £60
 
As in previous years, the website closes bookings for all SDCs and workshops close 2 weeks before the date of each event.  However it would be appreciated if divers could register their interest as early as possible rather than waiting until just before bookings close.  Where bookings for a particular event are low we may have to cancel an event early in order to avoid cancellation fees from venues etc, therefore if you are able to book early it really does help us with our planning.
