Course Overview
The aim of the Diver Cox’n assessment is to assess a candidate’s practical boat handling skills, and the underpinning knowledge related to the general handling of small boats and to diving specific boat handling activities.

The CDA Diver Cox’n Assessment is open to any BSAC member over the age of 16. Candidates should either
Have completed the BSAC Boat Handling Course, or equivalent and have accumulated at least 5 hours boat handling experience since completing the course
Have at least 20 hours substantiated/logged boat handling experience.
